Brooklyn, NY – Effective May 26, 2009, the business known for years as Blue Ridge Farms/Chloe Foods has been acquired by EM-ESS Acquisition, LLC, a company set up for that purpose, by New York businessman Marvin Sussman. Effective immediately, the company will be known as Blue Ridge Farms.

Commenting on the transaction, Uri Evan, the new CEO of Blue Ridge Farms stated, “I am very pleased that this acquisition has been consummated. Blue Ridge Farms is an American Tradition and is widely regarded by consumers up and down the East Coast as the premier manufacturer and supplier of high quality salads, entrees and gourmet specialty foods. Our customers and our suppliers can now rest assured that Blue Ridge Farms has the financial stability and the management expertise to ensure that it will quickly regain its leadership role in the food industry. According to Anthony Vitellozzi, a veteran sales executive with the company, “Blue Ridge Farms is once again ready to deliver the wonderful Blue Ridge Farms brand of salads and entrées coupled with the commitment to excellent customer service that the marketplaces has come to expect from us for the past 65 years.”

Blue Ridge Farms, LLC is a privately owned manufacturer and distributor of potato salad, cole slaw, other vegetable and protein salads, gourmet entrees, and other specialties including knishes, lasagna, olives and assorted Mediterranean traditions.
